This recent body of work consists of experiments with fiber, playing with upcycled textile waste, scraps from my own studio, and other found materials. I’m interested in pushing the boundaries of what constitutes a quilt or an embroidery. What side is the “right” side? How can I pull the in-between parts to the fore? In using only scraps to make these experiments, I am further calling attention to what usually gets swept off the floor or forgotten.
